Ahhh! Where did the time go??
Soo i have big news for you: I AM BACK HOME in Germany! Since almost 1 month now! Basicaly what happend: I tried to enjoy the last time in America with my friends and family! That's the main reason why I didn't have much time to write in my Blog and I am very sorry! Maybe a few of you followed me on Twitter and know what happend;)
The best memory of my last days in the US was my 18th-Birthday-GoodbyeParty! It was awesome, even though it rained. In the middle, on of my friend started to give a speech about me, he like summerized my whole exchange year. In the middle he put the song "A 1000 Miles" on and all of my friends memorized the lyrics and sang the song for me. It was so beautiful and emotional and I just started crying. The lyrics fitted perfectly. So I have to say I found the best friends ever during this exchange year!
The last people left at 1 am from my party and I tried to sleep but it didn't work. I was so unbelievable sad. In the monring I left to the airport.
I survived the super boring and long flight and arrived safely at home.
I just can't believe it's over... That was not a year.. was it? It seemed so short!
But now I'm trying to talk as much as possible to my american friends cause I miss them like crazy.
I also started to do my licence and I started at my musical school. I also had the first show here already it was so much fun and that was definitely a part I really missed!
So, I guess I will write here from time to time about my life back here in Germany, my American friends and everything else! So keep reading this Blog!
AND thank you guys for all the support you gave mme during the year!
Love you!
Julia
Here is the song my friends sang for me .. the lyrics fit like perfectly!

NEW YORK!
Heeey! I am so sorry that i didn't write for sooo long..but the time goes by so fast especially now!! I'm doing something almost everyday, hanging out with friends and other stuff. But anyways I wanted to tell you about my trip to New York City and Washington DC. Short: It was sooo much fun and probably the best week of my exchange year. Thanks to BELO USA, the travel organization. So I arrived super early in the morning in NY (yea I had i night flight and it was just horrible) So then I met there with other exchange students, I didnt know any of them but it was so much fun to make new friends. We went to our hotel which was in New Jersey, and the first day we were just hanging out there because we had to wait for everyone to arrive. In the evening, we got our program for New York.
1st Day in NYC: The first thing we did was a City Tour through Manhatten. Our tour guide was a real new yorker and he was super funny. We stopped at important places like the Central Park, Wall Street, Ground Zero etc. At night, we went to Times Square. It is just crazy there but definitely one of my favourite places. We had a experience with real Police Cops there.. which was a little scary, but they actually saved us from a guy who dressed up as Elvis and wanted money from us but he actually wasn't allowed to take money. The cops explained us that we shouldn't gave money to anyone at Times Square. Thanks again :D
We had dinner at a really cool place: Planet Hollywood. They actually booked the whole upper level just for us. FANCY! By the way: For lunch I had pizza from the pizza place from the Spider Man Movie. Remember Peter Parker (or Spiderman) works in the beginning of the movie for them?! Anyways I was so excited! Later that same day, I guess a few exchange students saw Robert Pattinson at Times Square... I didn't...that makes me REALLY mad but I try not to think about it. I mean I will just become an actrice and meet those people in a few years!:)2nd Day NYC: We started early because we had a full program. First we went to the Empire State Building.. and WOW! The view was just awesome ! We could see everything!! It was amazing. And the thought that King Kong climbed up the building ;)
After that, we went shopping in Soho, which was really cool too. We went to the United Nations, which is not part of the United States so I "left the country" for a few hours. It was really interesting there. After that, we went to a Dancing School and got Hip Hop lessons from a real New Yorker Hip Hop Dancer, it was so much fun. We also went to China Town, were we had dinner in a suuuperfancy China restaurant!!! YUMMY!3rd Day NYC: We started early again, got on a boat and went to the Statue of Liberty!!! The weather was kinda bad though, so we bought us a hot chocolate there and visited the Statue. After that, we went to Ellis Island, a little island where the European immigrants used to come in. We had Lunch at Grand Central Station, which was really cool! Then we went to the Metropolian Art Musem, very interesting place! And in the evening the best thing ever: A REAL BROADWAY SHOW!!! I was so excited!!!!!!!!!!! We saw "Phantom of the Opera" and it was just amazing!!!! After that, we had a biiiig party, because it was the last night in New York!! It was so much fun!!! We even got our own DJ! haha
4th Day NYC: Was a short day! We had to say Goodbye to half of our group and left for Washington D.C. I'll write about that in the next post!!
Soooo.. Congratulations if you really read the whole post!!! I'll post pictures soon!!!!
Julia :)
BY THE WAY: You should all follow me on twitter, so you can see what I'm doing in California right now: http://twitter.com/#!/JuliaLichtner

Anyways, we will stay in New York for 5 days and then we will drive to WASHINGTON D.C.! It's gonna be so cool! Can't wait and I probably won't sleep at all tonight!
I just got the program 2 days ago, and it looks amazing! But I won't tell you yet ;).
I'll write a looooooooooong post... probably if I find the time!

1st post in english
Heey, so my American friends complained that they can't understand a word in my blog. So I decided to write my posts in english.. at least most of them! And I hope it's understandable for all of you guys! And who knows? Maybe I'll get some international readers? That would be really cool!
Anyways, today was a boring day. I didn't do anything except from cleaning my room and listening to some good music. And I found this song here. Yea, I know the video is a little weird but it's still a good song though! Have fun and goodnight!

4/1/11
Love,
Julia
